Southern
California Gas Co. (The Gas Company) has been selected by the California Public
Utilities Commission (CPUC), to serve as an “energy-efficiency
clearinghouse,” creating a one-stop-shop where small business customers of all
Southern California utilities can easily obtain the information they need to
make smart energy choices.
“We
are pleased to take a leadership role for energy efficiency in Southern
California,” said Tina Javid, public affairs manager, The Gas Company.
“We want to equip small commercial and industrial customers with the
information and resources they need to take action to use energy wisely in their
businesses, conserving valuable resources and saving money at the same time.”
For
small businesses, The Gas Company has a toll-free Energy -Efficiency Help Desk
to provide information on energy saving program opportunities offered by other
utilities, municipalities and independent local businesses.
A number of rebates are available to small and medium sized businesses
customers who retrofit with qualifying energy efficient natural gas equipment.
Small businesses can call (800) 427-6584 to learn more about the
programs.
Online,
small businesses have access to a free tool to increase profitability and save
energy. The Energy Savings
Finder can help businesses run an energy analysis to improve the
productivity and comfort of customers and employees, as well as improve the
maintenance, safety and security of the operation.
